Made by: Mauricio Araujo and Rodrigo Maceira.Living in São Paulo means knowing the ABCs of the remedies that help us keep up with the city that never stops. Unfortunately, these remedies aren’t just for adults.
A Grande Avenida
Made by: Rodrigo Maceira, Mauricio Araujo, Arlindo Christiam and Guilherme Almeida.A Grande Avenida is a space we've created in the heart of downtown São Paulo to host courses and artistic installations. It's a place to bring projects to life and explore the intersections between art and technology.
We inaugurated the space with a performative show and the installation 'Is it necessary to replace all of us?' by Rodrigo Maceira and Guilherme Almeida. Inspired by a poem by Drummond, it prompts us to question why we seek and talk so much about so many things, from football to reality TV, with a text that evolves alongside our own quests.
O Único Jardim Paulista
Made by: Mauricio Araujo and Nicole Gelbvaks. An experiment on a major viaduct in São Paulo, which on weekends transforms into a park of concrete and asphalt nestled between towering buildings. There, I exhibited a painting made of framed grass that invites people to interact with the only greenery that can be found there.
Damores
The Minister of Human Rights went viral after making homophobic remarks in a church, claiming Disney’s Frozen was LGBTQIA+ propaganda meant to indoctrinate children. In response to this absurd and hateful rhetoric, I created posters that counter her message with love—turning intolerance into a chance for reconciliation between the minister and the animated film
Dialogues (coming soon)
Made by: Mauricio Araujo and Arlindo Christiam.A series of conversations between strangers, the kind where you eavesdrop with your ears wide open. However, instead of spoken gossip, it's written gossip in the style of improvisational theater, where two characters engage in conversation and bring to life stories never read (heard) before.
